The Potter is part of a series of lino prints I have been working on, featuring artisans who make beautiful items with their hands.

Frances Savage is a studio potter based in Manchester. I have one of her little bud vases in my kitchen – perfect for little flowery snippets from the garden, things like this make me very happy!

Taken from an original pencil drawing and then carefully carved into two separate lino blocks to make a print of two colours.

Printed with Cranfield Caligo ink onto Japanese Awagami silk pure white paper, with deckled edges. The outline ink is a lovely rich, dark brown called Van Dyke brown.

Unframed. A3 size.

NB There are two versions of this print – one with just Frances’ gorgeous stripey tank printed in orange and the other where the pots she has made are also orange. Please select the one you would like when ordering.

Please note: Each print is unique and due to the hand-printed nature of this work there may be the odd imperfection – part of the joy, charm and authenticity of the printmaking process! Perfect for adding character to any space, especially when grouped with other pieces.
