Summer Exhibition Dreams

Description

Summer Exhibition Dreams is a beautiful, handmade lino print of a girl with a rucksack on her back, looking at a wall of artwork at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. It was inspired by my first visit there a few years ago (I know, why did it take me so long to go?!)

I meant to enter this year but missed the deadline so I will definitely be having a go next year. You have to dream right?!

Taken from an original pencil drawing and then carefully carved into a lino block to make a print.

Printed with Cranfield Caligo ink onto Japanese Awagami silk pure white paper, with deckled edges. Printed in my favourite dark brown – Van Dyke.

Unframed. A3 size.

Please note: Each print is unique and due to the hand-printed nature of this work there may be the odd imperfection – part of the joy, charm and authenticity of the printmaking process! Perfect for adding character to any space, especially when grouped with other pieces.
