Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2023

I can’t believe I’ve never been to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, how did that happen?! From now on I will definitely be going every year, it’s amazing. I visited with my friend Suzy last year – one of many trips into London to see art together and then eat nice food, chat and watch the world go by.

I’ve been drawing friends lately and so wanted to do one of her. It seemed like the perfect opportunity and setting – I loved the little artworks on the walls, and the herringbone pattern of the floor (my prints generally have to have a pattern somewhere) so decided to include these in my artwork.
