This latest project involves sketching and then lino printing pictures of artisans at work – making beautiful things with their hands. Taking time. Something I need to learn to do more (I’m always rushing from one thing to the next and worrying I’m not giving things enough attention but I get lost in the moment!)
The lino prints feature (so far as I feel it could be an ongoing project):
Sarah from Meadow & Thyme in Worcestershire, who presses wild flowers from her garden and makes them into gorgeous pictures and keepsakes. She runs workshops too.
Sarah from Hopewood Baskets in Worcestershire, who weaves the most beautiful baskets by hand and also runs workshops.
Frances Savage in Manchester, who makes pots that have traces of the maker (which I love!) and really nice patterns and glazes. Her little vases are so cute.
Bramble & Wild in Frome, an independent florist crafting the most gorgeous artisan bouquets.
That’s it so far, but I have more on my list (always good to have ideas stacked up to work on later).
